I believe that an experience is not a single moment in time, but the entire journey from start to finish. An experience is also not one point of view, but rather blending many perspectives. I apply this holistic ideology to my designs by incorporating all disciplines rather than just my own and practice intent by being cognizant of all points of views.

Maybe because I’m Japanese, I take a very intentional approach to design by meshing mindfulness, logic, and a holistic technique.

I see myself as more of a guide that leads others to the user. Not only do I approach problems with questions, but I encourage people to question whether or not it’s the right problem to solve.

  • playing with my pug • traveling • watching tv • eating • mentoring aspiring UX designers • cafe hopping • going to the beach • getting in 10k steps • drinking martinis •

When I’m not championing for the user, I’m usually out trying to find the next best sushi or italian sub sandwhich or binge watching the newest HBO show. I spend a lot of my precious out of office time traveling and try to immerse myself internationally once a year. I’ve been to Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Isla Holbox, and more!
